APPRENTICES INFORMATION
THE BIG PICTURE

- 3 Year Programme
- Released from work 1 day per week for study
- 4 days a week with the employer
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum entry requirements are set at all those over 18 years with Leaving Cert OR Level 5 equivalent OR NFQ Level 6 Advanced Certificate (or equivalent)
Minimum entry requirements are a grade H5 and above in 2 higher level subjects together with a minimum of O6/H7 in 4 other subjects. A minimum of grade O6/H7 must be obtained in English and Mathematics.
Learners for whom English is not a first language must demonstrate proficiency in English with CEF B2 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) or recognised equivalent.
- Applicants aged 23 or over can be assessed for entry based on recognition of prior learning.
TYPICAL TARGET LEARNERS
- Aged 20+ with two+ years' post-school experience
- Career Break / Returners to work
- Post-Leaving Cert Graduates
Existing employees:
- Less than 3 years' experience in recruitment role
- Upskilling to Level 8 qualification
- Little or no existing qualifications in recruitment
Learning, Teaching & Assessment
Modules & Delivery
- 2 semesters of 13 weeks each per Academic Year
- 6 modules per year; each modules is 10 credits
- Protected study time - 1 day (day tbc) a week from 9am to 5pm
- Blended Learning Delivery
Work-Based Learning Modules
- 2 of the 6 modules are 'work-based'
- 1 hour for work-based learning in total;

- Academic supervisor assesses

Integrated Modules
- 4 of the 6 modules are integrated modules
- 1.5 hours for each integrated module per week
- Integrated modules; minimum 50% work-based assessment
- Only 2 exams on the programme
