Emergency Briefing – Cyber crime

In light of recent messages via WhatsApp purporting to be member companies, we are holding an emergency lunchtime briefing session on Tuesday 6th February at 1.30pm. This briefing will advise members on the steps to take, should they fall victim to this scam. 

The people operating these scams may contact candidates with a job offer to their personal or financial information.

Our DPO Senator Mary Seery Kearney has liaised with the Gardai and the National Cyber Centre who advise that whoever receives suspicious messages to report them to WhatsApp and block them.

Mary, along with ERF President Siobhan Kinsella will advise on the steps to take should you/your company become affected by a scam/cyber cram. And she will also provide tips how the best ways to avoid becoming a victim of such a scam.
