The ERF 2019 AGM took place on the 14th November in the Dublin Chamber of Commerce. The event was well attended, despite the weather!
New ERF President
AT the ERF 2019 AGM Donal O'Donoghue, Sanderson Recruitment (Ireland), was elected as the new ERF President. Donal takes up the mantle from Frank Farrelly, Sigmar Recruitment.
I’m sure you will join us in wishing Donal the very best of luck. We look forward to working with him over the coming year to continue to promote excellence within the recruitment profession and ensure our Members’ voice is heard.
A Special Thank You To Frank Farrelly & Louise Nolan
Frank served a total of nine years on various ERF committees, as Treasurer, and more recently as Vice President for two year, and President for a further three years.
“I want to sincerely thank Frank for his commitment, dedication, support to me and the ERF team and for his friendship. I also want to congratulate Frank on all that we achieved with him leading on behalf of the recruitment industry in Ireland. There were many successes from lobbying and influencing Ministers to look favourably while legislating, played a huge part in the success of the WEC conference which gave us global recognition, representing us in the media and on the global stage and fully supporting and giving a huge amount of his time to the Apprenticeship steering committee (which he will still continue to support to get it fully over the line with QQI).” Geraldine King, CEO, National Recruitment Federation
Frank will continue to support the lobbying function as subcommittee member and we are very grateful to him for agreeing to do this.
In his final address Frank paid tribute to the Dublin and Regional Committees who give their time so freely, stating they were very special people who work very hard on behalf of the profession.
Frank also praised the work of the ERF CEO and staff mentioning how far the organisation has come as a Federation in the past 10 years. He gave a special thanks to Donal in his role as Vice President, and Ed Heffernan, Barden for the tireless work they do in representing the recruitment profession in Ireland and abroad..
Stepping down as ERF Secretary, after 10 years having held a number of posts, including VP and Secretary, was Louise Nolan, The Production People, Dublin. Frank thanked Louise for all her hard work over the 10 year tenure.
“Louise supported the committee in various roles over the past ten years from committee member to VP and Secretary. Louise has brought a wealth of expertise that has helped us in PR, internal support to me and to ERF head office, and has played a key part in in the sourcing of key speakers, MC and events companies for WEC and other events. Louise thank you for all your commitment and I know you will continue to be there should we need you for anything. Thank you for your support and your friendship!” Geraldine King, CEO, National Recruitment Federation
